In an effort to continue to provide the best service possible to the community, the Vincent Fire Company has launched a new voluntary Home Safety Survey Program. The program is strictly voluntary, but if you participate there are a few benefits for you and your family.
How the Program Works
Simply fill out this online request form below. A member of the fire company will contact you to schedule an appointment with you to conduct the survey. Most surveys are scheduled Mon - Thurs between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, however other days may be scheduled. A crew of highly trained firefighters will be sent to your home to conduct the survey.
What is included in the survey?
Rubbish not properly taken care of
Flammable liquids not properly stored
Combustibles too close to stoves/ furnaces/ electrical panel
Unsafe wiring
No smoke detectors
Smoke detectors improperly installed/no batteries
Oily rags/ mops not properly stored
Stoves not properly installed
Garage/ sheds unsafe storage
Paints not properly stored
Improper venting of heating equipment/ clothes dryer
Fire extinguisher(s)
House numbers displayed
Some of the Benefits
Upon completion of the inspection, you will have the assurance
that your smoke detector(s) work, you will know the facts about fire prevention
and fire safety, and you will have written recommendations on how to correct any
hazards found during the survey.
