Burlington County College Drill
April 9, 2004
On Friday evening April 9th Rescue Engine 1712 and Engine 1713 participated in a drill at the Parker Center building at the Burlington County College campus in Pemberton Township. The building was filled with smoke from smoke machines and a fire was simulated in one of the corridors on the first floor with extention into the floor above. Crews stretched uncharged hose lines throughout the building to extinguish the simulated fire. Rescue Engine 1712 used the Fire Department access road behind the campus and took the C-D corner of the building. The crew then made entry and located a simulated fire on the first floor. The crew then layed out their high-rise pack with 150' of 1 1/2" attack hose and followed up by pulling in another 100' of 3" supply hose off of the Engine to continue the lay to the standpipe. Engine 1713's crew opened up and vented the first floor. Thank you to Goodwill Fire Co. Fire Chief Chad Bozoski for organizing the event.
