August 23rd - After the members had finished cleaning up from lunch at the firehouse they overheard Chief 1720 (Smith) requesting "the engine out of Vincentown" for reports of a smoke condition in a dwelling on North Firelane Road in the Hampton Lakes side of the township. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) and RE1712 (D'amico) with a full staffing, answered up to provide their assistance with an incident Hampton Lakes was out with. The Chief arrived and handled radio communications between the crews and Central for the entire incident while the crew from the Rescue Engine was sent to interior to investigate reports from the homeowner for possible electrical hazards in numerous rooms of the structure. The crew secured the power to the structure and found problems that would need the attention of an electrician and the local power company. With the hazards secured at the location, the Chief and Rescue Engine out of Vincentown returned to the village.
Summer Softball

August 23rd - About a month ago, the company challenged the volunteers from Tabernacle Fire (431) and EMS (439) to a Sunday morning softball game. This morning, the company followed up with the second of such challenges and faced off with the volunteers from Hampton Lakes Fire (172). The volunteers from Vincentown have managed to hold on to a split record for the summer. We would like to take the time to thank the teams of volunteers who took time from their personal schedules and made time for some good summer sportsmanship! We look forward to any future challenges.
Electrical Hazard
August 10th - Just before 09:00hrs the Vincent Fire Company was dispatched to 1869 RT 38, at Tractor Supply for an electrical hazard. While responding, RE1712 (D'Amico) was advised by Central they had received a call from an inside the building reporting a fire in an overhead light fixture. When the crew from the Rescue Engine arrived, they reported the fire had put itself out and they were checking for any extension. Making quick work, the crew cut off the power supply to the light to prevent any further hazards and turned the scene back over to the store manager. The company was clear and returning to quarters just after the 15 minute mark.
