Second Fire for the Night
July 28th - Just before midnight RIC 1712 (D'Amico) with 6 firefighters and Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) were sent to a structure fire on Magnolia Road in Pemberton Township. Chief 1900 (Bozoski, Good Will Fire) was on scene reporting a single story home with heavy fire showing from the front of the structure. RE1911 (Pemberton Boro) was first to arrive on scene and made quick work of the fire using 2 1¾" water lines. Chief 1710 was assigned as the RIC Group Supervisor. RIC 1712 arrived and began proactive RIC duties. This includes making the structure as safe as possible for the firefighters operation. Some of these items included clearing out windows, throwing ladders to the roof and removing any hazards. The members were cleaned up and back in Vincentown by 03:00hrs. A crew was also on standby at 171 to respond to any other incidents while the RIC was committed.

July 28th - At 17:38hrs a structure dispatch was sent to the number block of Stagecoach Road in the Hampton Lakes section of Southampton. E1723 (Hampton Lakes) was the first to arrive and reported heavy fire conditions coming from a single story family dwelling. The crew stretched a 1¾" waterline to initiate an interior attack. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) and Chief 1720 (D.Smith, Hampton Lakes) arrived at the same time. Chief 1710 setup a Command Post and Chief 1720 was in charge of the fire operation. RE1712 (D'Amico) was next to arrive and was assigned 1st due truck duties. These duties include search and rescue, ventilation, and securing utilities. Q4314 (Tabernacle) was next to arrive and was assigned as the initial RIC. This team is tasked with standing by on the exterior of the home prepared to rescue any firefighters that may become lost or trapped. E1722 (Hampton Lakes) laid a water supply line from a hydrant on Holly Boulevard into E1723. The crew was assigned as the second due engine and stretched a backup line. E1713 (Spencer) was assigned as the third due engine, RIC 1911 (Pemberton Boro) was moved up as the RIC to relieve Q4314's crew, and T1716 (Wortham) and R2518 (Medford) were moved into the scene to assist with overhaul operations. Ambulance 1781 and 1783 were on scene to provide BLS if needed. R4399 (Tabernacle) was also on scene for firefighter rehab. The fire is under investigation by the Burlington County Fire Marshall's Office and the NJ Division of Fire Safety.

July 23rd - Around noon, the company was alerted to RT 38 and RT 206 for a reported MVC. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) signed on responding and was advised of a tractor trailer being involved with a utility pole with no reports of injuries. The Chief arrived to find a modular home en route to be delivered had been unable to stop for the traffic light and veered off the road and jackknifed, coming to rest against a utility pole. RE1712 (D'amico) was on the run also but with minor damage to the house and no other hazards, the company cleared the incident.

July 14th - Just after the evening's duty crew shift started, companies from Vincentown (171, 179) were dispatched to in front of 500 Eayrestown Road for a motor vehicle collision. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) and RE1712 (D'Amico) were on the air responding in under a minute and were advised that the assignment was being upgraded to a rescue, adding paramedics, BLS 178 (Hampton Lakes), and Engines 171 and 172. Upon arrival at the intersection of Church Road and Eayrestown, the Chief found a two vehicle collision with one apparently having overturned numerous times and coming to rest on a tree stump with multiple occupants still inside. On arrival 1712's crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle using Paratech struts and 4" x 4" box cribbing. Once stabilization was complete crews began extrication of the occupants with the assistance of the crew from E1713 and S1718. Chief 1710 requested additional BLS 439, 258 and 199. E1723 had suppression duties and assisted with patient removal. Extrication was completed on all patients around the 20 minute mark.

Company Mourns Loss of Past Member
July 7th - The membership is grieved to announce that Helen Clark, past member of the Vincent Fire Company #1's Ladies' Auxiliary, mother of Firefighter and Life Member Charles "Pop" Clark and grandmother of Chief Steven Pratt, passed away on July 6, 2009 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 88. Services will be held Friday, July 10, 2009 at Holy Eucharist Church (520 Medford Lakes Road, Tabernacle, NJ). Viewing will be from 10:00 - 11:00hrs. Mass will be at 11:00hrs with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, located on Marne Highway in Hainesport. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during their time of loss.
