Last Three Days of October Brings 10 Calls

October 31st – The members started the day responding to Station 181 for a cover assignment with RE1712 (B.Pratt) at 03:10hrs. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) and RE1712 remained at 181 until 05:15hrs without any incidents.

Just before 07:00hrs RE1712 (D'Amico) was on its way to RT 206 IFO the State Police Barracks for a MVC with reports of one trapped. Chief 1720 arrived to report no rescue however had a vehicle on its side, a broken pole and low hanging wires. RE1712 and R4399 handled securing the vehicles and assisted with EMS.

Just as the crew was clearing the rescue, the company was dispatched to RT 38 and RT 206 for a roadway hazard. The crew quickly secured the hazard and returned to quarters.

Two hours later Tender 1716 was on its way to Tabernacle for the report of a structure fire. This was determined to be steam from a roof and the assignment was recalled.

October 30th – RE1712 was dispatched to cover Station 501 in Mt. Holly at 01:30hrs. The assignment was quickly downgraded and the company was recalled enroute.

Around 08:30hrs the company was dispatched to RT 206 near the Red Lion Circle for a MVC. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) arrived to report that the incident was minor and held the assignment to MP4317.

October 29th – The company was dispatched to a wires down incident around 09:30hrs. The crew investigated and found a pole to be leaning.

Tender 1716 was sent to Medford Township around 18:30hrs for a reported structure fire. This grid also called for RE1712 to respond to Station 251 for the cover. The incident was quickly downgraded and both units were recalled enroute.

Minor Injuries on RT 38

October 15th – Just before 07:00hrs RE1712 (D'Amico) and Ambulance 1792 were enroute to RT 38 IFO Garden State Auto parts for a motor vehicle collision. RE1712 assisted with EMS, secured the vehicles and helped clear the highway.
