Fatal on Red Lion Rd

September 29th – Around 01:00hrs the rescue assignment was dispatched IFO 307 Red Lion Rd. Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) signed enroute minutes after dispatch and was advised of a single vehicle accident with one possibly ejected. RE1712, E1723, Ambulances 1791 and 1783, Medic 33 and Medic 100 all answered up within seconds of one another. Chief 1710 arrived to report no ejection but the one victim to be DOA. The assignment was reduced to RE1712 and Ambulance 1791. The members were on hand to assist the Burlington County Medical Examiner until 04:30hrs.
September 27th – Around 16:45hrs RE1712 (D'Amico) was dispatched to cover Medford Station 251. Medford emergency personnel were committed on an incident involving a vehicle that drove into a dwelling and ended up in the basement. The crew was on standby until 18:30hrs when they were moved up to the scene as a relief crew. Members worked on scene assisting with the operation until 22:00hrs.
September 25th – RE1712 (E. Snow) was dispatched to cover Medford Station 251 around 04:00hrs. Before leaving the building the crew was being moved up to the scene on the 2nd alarm. The unit arrived on Branch St. and was quickly assigned to the fire suppression effort. Once the fire was extinguished the crew moved to the second floor to assist with opening up. The crew returned to quarters around 06:00hrs.
Tender Task Force Drill in Springfield

September 23rd – Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) and T1716 (D'Amico) participated in the Tender Task Force Drill in Springfield Twp. Chief 1710 assisted with one of the fill points and T1716 made several loops transporting water back to the Springfield School. The members would like to thank the Springfield Twp. Fire Stations for their hospitality.
September 21st – Around 12:30hrs T1716 (Bicking) was dispatched to the number block of W. Centenial Ave. in Medford Twp for the 2nd alarm. The crew arrived and staged the tender to act as a nurse tender in the event something happened to the draft site. The balance of the crew was sent up to the scene to assist with operations. The company was released at 14:13hrs.
Vacant Working Structure Fire
September 1st – At 13:22hrs Taskforce 172 was dispatched to RT 206 and Old Indian Mills Rd for a structure fire. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) signed on enroute and was advised a single caller reported a vacant working structure fire. At the same time the New Jersey Forest Fire Service (NJFFS) lookout towers spotted the smoke and confirmed the report. DC 4310 (Freeman) arrived moments after dispatch and reported a working fire. Quint 4314 arrived first due dropped a 5" supply up the driveway and stretched a 2½" attack line. Chief 1710 arrived, established command and assigned DC 4310 as Safety and AC 4301 (Gerber) Operations. RE1712 (E.Snow) arrived, picked up the supply line and stretched a second attack line. T1716 (Mitchell) arrived shortly and established a much needed water supply. During this time the structure had become fully involved and was torching 30 ft trees. The NJFFS setup a perimeter around the structure with 5 wildland engines and 1 tender. These units extinguished many spot fires and assisted with the operation. A 5" supply was stretched from RE1712 back to E1723 on the corner of RT 206 and Old Indian Mills Rd. E1723 became the supply engine for the scene. The arriving tenders from the strike team arrived and hookedup. Once there was enough water on location RE1712 and E1723 directed their deck guns and multiple handlines to extinguish the blaze. A special thanks to the mutual aid chiefs and county coordinators for their assistance in running the command post, the NJFFS for their support and to Tabernacle Rescue Squad for the rehab area.
