10 Hours, 9 Calls
July 29th – With the possibility for severe weather, a number of the members, including Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) had made their way to quarters to staff any calls. With the number of members present it was possible for the company to fully staff RE1712 and E1713. The inclement weather only brought 2 service calls, but due to the weather and being hard hit in Medford Twp., E1713 responded to the cover assignment to Union Fire Company (Sta. 251) where they ran an additional 3 calls bringing the total for the day up to 9 incidents. The cover engine returned to quarters just before 17:00hrs. A big thank you to the members who were in quarters to staff the calls on the last day of their weekend! July 29th – Just before the noon hour, the company was dispatched to 1899 RT 38 for a fire alarm activation in a commercial building. Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) and RE1712 (D’Amico) investigated and found it to be an accidental activation due to janitorial services.
July 29th – The members were in quarters around 10:00hrs when they overheard an ALS medical call (respiratory) being dispatched to the Meadowyck section of the township. Knowing EMS units were tied up with a previous call, Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) and RE1712 (D’Amico) responded with first-responder staffing to provide their services. Crews provided first-responder treatment to the patient until ALS arrived and assumed patient care. BLS 1783 later arrived to transport.
July 29th – Just before 06:30hrs the fire company was dispatched for a MVA at the intersections of RT 206 and Pemberton Road. Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) responded and found one vehicle off the roadway south of the intersection with the occupant out walking around. RE1712 (D’Amico) assisted on scene with securing the vehicle. ESU1718 was also staffed for the call but their services were not needed. Units were back in quarters before 06:45hrs.

| July 22nd – Taskforce 172, Station 431 and Station 292 were dispatched at 09:35hrs to the number block of Big Hill Road for the building. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) arrived to find a 60' x 30' pole barn fully involved. Chief 1720 (Young) arrived next and setup Command thus giving Operations to Chief Pratt. Although RE1712 (B.Pratt) was second due on the assignment they arrived first and stretched a 2½" and 1¾" waterline. E1723 was second due and laid in a 5" supply up the driveway. Tender 1716 (D'Amico) arrived as the first due tender and managed to get up the driveway to secure the water supply to RE1712 until the next tender arrived. The crew from T1716 pulled two more lines from RE1712 and added to the defensive operation. Once the additional mutual aid tenders arrived the fire was quickly brought under control. Members spent the next few hours overhauling and hitting hotspots. The company returned around 00:05hrs and began the hour long cleanup of the apparatus and equipment. |

One Overturned off Red Lion

July 15th – Just after 01:30hrs Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) and RE1712 (D'Amico) were on their way to Ridge and Red Lion Roads for a MVC. Chief 1710 arrived to find a vehicle on its roof with one victim lying in the street. It was determined that the patient crawled out of the vehicle and was not ejected. RE1712 arrived minutes later and began EMS care. The patient was boarded and collared by the time the BLS unit arrived to transport.
The Triathlon has returned!

July 14th – The Vincent Fire Company hosted the DC Triathlon Event this morning. Approximately 250 athletes converged in the village to take part in this race. The VFC provided personnel to support the event. This included registrations, traffic control and EMS. The event was a success and we are looking forward to hosting it again next year. The members would like to thank the following organizations for their support:

Crews Man Busy Weekend
July 8th – Crews were back on the street at 0845hrs going to Station 501 (Mt. Holly) for the RIT cover. Although the cover companies did not pick up any runs, it should be noted that E1713 (A.Allen) responded to an EMS Assist call back in the township with full staffing. Crews were released from the cover around 1030hrs.
July 7th – The fire company was proud to be of service to the people of Southampton Twp. for the annual Independence Day fireworks display held at Memorial Field on Red Lion Rd. The members of all Southampton stations (Fire and EMS) ensured the safety of the onlookers and the employees of Bay Fireworks. Special thanks to Chief 1300 (Pearson) for running the CP, C1319 for providing lights, NJFFS Section Warden B3 (S.Moore) for his assistance and Chief 1900 (Bozoski), the Duty Chief for the cover companies. The note of thanks continues for all the cover companies who were in place to provide uninterrupted service to the remaining residents of Southampton Twp. in the event of an emergency!
One Overturned at RTs 206 and 38

July 7th – Just before 1700hrs, the station along with BLS was alerted to the intersection of RTs 206 and 38 for reports of an accident with a vehicle overturned. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) arrived to find 3 vehicles involved, with one on its side in the middle of the northbound lane of RT 206. The crews from RE1712 (Randall) and E1713 (A.Allen) assessed patients, assisted the driver of the overturned vehicle out of her vehicle, controlled fluids on the roadway, assisted with traffic control and also provided assistance to a State Trooper. BLS 1791 transported one adult and one minor. Crews returned to quarters around 1800hrs.
July 7th – As the company was clearing the alarm activation the task force was dispatched to number block of Stratford Rd. for the dwelling. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) and RE1712 (Woods) were enroute immedietaly and were first due within minutes of the dispatch. The crew investigated a careless cooking incident and reduced the assignment to RE1712 and E1723 for ventilation operations.
July 7th – Just before 1000hrs the company was dispatched to the number block of RT 38 for a fire alarm activation. Chief 1710 (S.Pratt) and RE1712 (Woods) took in the run and found the cause to be accidental.
One well-off on Ridge

July 6th – Just after 1800hrs the station was alerted to the area of 154 Ridge Road for a possible auto fire. RE1712 (D’Amico) arrived to find one vehicle well involved with exposure to a sea box storage container. Leading off with the bumper line, the crew knocked down the fire in the auto and started working in the exposure. Making quick work of it, the crew was able to keep the fire damage to a minimal inside the container considering the large amounts of combustibles that it contained. T1716 (Marcantonio) arrived and established a water supply to RE1712. Crews cleared the incident within the hour.
Heavy Entrapment on RT 70

July 6th – Around 0930hrs, companies were dispatched to the area of the 23.5 mile marker on RT 70 for a motor vehicle accident. Medic 33, which was en-route to another call, happened to come upon the incident just after dispatch and confirmed a vehicle into a tree with one of the victims heavily entrapped. MP4317 arrived first due and began setting up scene protection. R4399 and RE1712 (B.Pratt) arrived simultaneously next due and began going to work extricating the driver. Once the driver was removed, crews worked diligently side-by-side to extricate the heavily entrapped passenger. BLS units from 179 and 258 transported both patients. Chief 4300 (Welling) had command. Units cleared around the 2 hr mark.
Busy Start to July
July 2nd – Around 0230hrs the rescue assignment was dispatched to South Pemberton Road, in the area of RT 206, for a vehicle into a pole. Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) and Medic 34 arrived to find same as reported. With access to the patient not an issue, the Chief advised Central negative on the entrapment. Crews from RE1712 (D'Amico) and E1713 (E. Snow) assisted BLS 349 with the patient and stood by until the vehicle was removed from the roadway.
July 1st – Around 2115hrs Taskforce 171 was alerted to 142 Main Street in the Village of Vincentown. Numerous neighbors had called in reporting black smoke coming from the roof of the dwelling there. Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) arrived to find a 2-story S/F/D with nothing showing. RE1712 (B. Pratt) arrived with 5 and assumed first due engine company operations. Crews searched the interior and found the source of the smoke to be from a misfire of the hot water heater in the basement. Companies secured the appliance and returned to service. Special thanks to Chief 1300 (Pearson) for assisting with traffic control onscene.
July 1st – Less than 30 minutes into the new month, crews were on their way to RT 206, in the area of Mobile Estates, for an unknown type fire. Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) and RE1712 (D'Amico) searched the area's popular spots for illegal campfires with nothing found.
