Fatal Accident on Route 206
April 28th At 22:38 the rescue box was dispatched to Rt. 206 and N Main St. bringing Chief 1710 (Pratt), DC Chief 17101 (Snow), Rescue Engine 1712, Engine 1722, BLS Unit 1782 and Medic 31. Chief 1710 arrived to find a passenger vehicle head on vs. a tractor and trailer. The driver of the vehicle was an obvious DOA. Chief 1710 held the assignment to RE1712 and BLS 1782. The crews stood by for the duration of the investigation providing lighting for the NJSP. Once the investigation was complete the members were tasked with extricating the victim for the Burlington County Medical Examiner. The companies returned to quarters at 04:00. Burn Victim and Small Building Fire
April 20th At 10:36 the company was dispatch with BLS 1792 and Medic 31 for a burn victim on Linda Lane. The Rescue Engine with 4 arrived with Chief 1900 (Bozoski) to find a male with first degree electrical burns to his arms and a small fire in the building. Chief Bozoski and FF/EMT D. Spencer provided EMS care to the patient while the balance of the crew extinguished and secured the small fire. Units returned within the hour.
Rescue Engine 1712 In Mt. Laurel?
April 20th - Due to three very serious accidents on the NJ Turnpike, the Rescue was dispatched to relocate to Mt. Laurel Station 361 (Masonville) at 05:56. This marks the first time that we have provided a cover piece for Mt. Laurel. While leaving quarters we were redirected to 363 (Birchfield). Although we didnt pick up any runs, the crew was glad to assist in backfilling a stripped area of Burlington County due to the accidents. The crew returned just before 09:00. (Full Size Image)
Mayday Training in Pemberton Boro
April 18th The members traveled to Station 191 (Goodwill Fire Department) for Mayday training. After attending a class in Willingboro, the members of Goodwill decided to put their own program together. This program included a lecture on knowing when and how to call for a Mayday. After the lecture the members were put through a bunch of props that are designed to make you call for a Mayday. The members found it to be an eye opening experience. Extrication on Birmingham Road
April 16th Early Sunday morning around 00:30 the company was dispatched to Birmingham road for the motor vehicle collision. While enroute Chief 1710 (Pratt) was advised that the NJSP was advising multiple trauma patients and were adding more BLS Units. While the Chief was arriving Chief 1900 (Bozoski) advised of a patient from the original accident who had run into his town at S. Pemberton Rd and Birmingham Rd. Chief 17101 (Snow) arrived next and handled the combative patient that had made it out of the vehicle. Chief 1710 took command of the incident and reported to Rescue Engine 1712 that they were going in service with the rescue. Rescue Engine 1911 was added to the incident at S. Pemberton Rd. to assist 1900. Command requested 6 BLS units and 3 Medics for the 5 trauma patients and 2 non-trauma patients. Two aero-medical units were requested. Engine 1723 (Hampton Lakes) and Engine 1912 (Pemberton) handled the 2 Landing Zones. Once the rescue was complete the crew of 6 from 1712 boarded and collared 5 patients with the Medics for transport. The members would like to thank the following for their assistance this morning. Fire Hampton Lakes and Goodwill. BLS Units 1782 and 1783 (Hampton Lakes), 5094 (Mt. Holly), 4391 and 4392 (Tabernacle), 3691 (Mt. Laurel), 1861 (Pemberton), 1393 (Lumberton). April Brings Another Rescue and 2 Alarm Shamong Fire
April 9th At 01:14 units were on their way to Rt 70 in the rear of Wesners Auto Body for a brush fire. Chief 1720 (Young) and E1722 handled the illegal campfire. Rescue Engine 1712 and Tender 1716 were quickly recalled after responding.
April 8th Just after 13:00 Rescue Engine 1712 was dispatched to cover Station 281 (Indian Mills). Before leaving town central redirected the crew in to the scene. This also added Chief 1710 (Pratt) and Chief 17101(Snow). The seven members from station 171 split into 2 crews. One crew was sent to the first floor to open up. The second crew first secured the fire on Division C and was later assigned to the second floor for overhaul operations. The crew returned to quarters around 14:30. (Click here for pictures)
April 6th Just after 11:00 the companies were dispatched to 430 Isaac Budd Rd for the motor vehicle collision with entrapment. F17101 (Snow) arrived to find a vehicle on its roof with 1 trapped. Rescue Engine 1712 arrived with 5 and extricated the patient within 7 minutes. The chauffer from Rescue Engine 1712 and 1718 setup and handled the landing zone next to the accident scene. Due to the uncertainty of the field, Engine 1722 was staged at Ridge and Isaac Budd Rd for a possible landing zone relocation.

Rescue Engine 1712 as RIT in Browns Mills
April 6th RIT 171 was dispatched to Browns Mills around 09:00. Arriving 4th due on the scene, the crew was quickly reassigned to fire suppression, pulling a 2 ½ handline to the front of the building. The crew operated for 3 hours before returning home. (Click here for Pictures)
April 2nd Chief 1710 (Pratt) and Rescue Engine 1712 (DAmico) handled a minor accident at RT 206 and Main St. at 15:12.
April 1st Tender 1716 responded to cover Station 251 (Medford) at 00:59. The crew of 5 returned home at 03:24. Rescue Engine 1712 responded to Pemberton Boro for a report of a brush fire at 20:52. The crew arrived to assist E1911 with an illegal campfire.
