March 31st Just after 15:00 the company was dispatched to IFO 188 Main Street for an accident with a motorcycle vs. retaining wall. Chief 17101 (Snow) arrived to find the accident to be serious in nature and requested aero medical to fly. Rescue Engine 1712 responded with 4 to assist with EMS. Engine 1722 setup the landing zone at the Southampton Municipal Building.

Later that afternoon Rescue Engine 1712 and Engine 1713 were on their way to another motor vehicle collision on Sooy Place Rd. The incident was found in Woodland Township sending our units back to quarters.
March 30th The first call of the day came at 15:47 with a motor vehicle collision on the North Fire Lane near Draytons Lane. Rescue Engine 1712 responded with 5 and assisted with BLS. At 23:12 Chief 1710 (Pratt), Rescue Engine 1712 and Tender 1716 were alerted to RT 206 and T 38 for a brush fire. Chief 1710 arrived to find an abandoned campfire. The crew from the engine extinguished the fire and the Tender was returned to service.
March 29th Rescue Engine 1712 responded to two alarm activations in Eagles Mere, one at 12:25 on Jefferson Ct. and one at 16:59 on Fox hill Drive.
March 27th At 09:58 the companies were alerted to 1841 Rt 70 and the bank for a vehicle into the building. Rescue Engine 1712 responded with 5. Members arrived to find a vehicle into the building with some significant damage to the building. The Southampton Twp building inspector was advised to respond and the companies went available. Busy Month Puts Us Over 100 Runs
As of Monday March 27th the station has responded to 106 incidents this year. This same date in 2005 we had only 76 incidents. As usual the members continue to meet the demand of a growing community.
March 25th Tender 1716 and Chief 1710 responded to Pemberton Twp for the structure fire just before midnight. The incident was minor and was handled by E1911 (Pemberton).
March 24th At 16:00 RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) was dispatched to 71 Ark Rd in Lumberton on the 2nd alarm. Rescue Engine 1712 responded with 5 and stood by for the duration of the incident.
March 23rd Rescue Engine 1712 handled an automatic fire alarm at the Sterling Bank on Main St. Later that afternoon Tender 1716 responded to a brush fire on the North Firelane. E1722 arrived and was able to handle the refill operation for the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.
March 22nd The station was dispatched and quickly recalled for wires at 10 Big Hill Rd.
March 21st The crew of Rescue Engine 1712 started their afternoon with a motor vehicle collision at Sunset Blvd and South Pemberton Rd. at 16:09. At 16:25 the crew along with DC 17101 (Snow) were on their way to Big Hill Rd and Rt. 70 for a motor vehicle collision with entrapment. First due 1712 arrived and began rescue operations, removing both the front and rear doors, the b post and doing a dash lift. Mini 4317 assisted with hose line protection and E1722 handled the Landing Zone at the Red Lion Circle.
March 20th Rescue Engine 1712 was alerted to the State Police Barracks to investigate a smell of smoke in the building. Later that afternoon the Rescue was on their way to Lumberton Twp as the second due rescue on a motor vehicle collision. The patient that was assigned to us was extricated without the need of rescue equipment. The crew remained on location to assist the first due rescue.
March 19th Chief 1710 (Pratt) and T1716 responded to Medford Township to assist with a large pile of peat moss on fire at 07:18.
March 16th Rescue Engine 1712 responded to the Red Lion Circle at 14:08 for a motor vehicle collision and was recalled by E1722 upon arrival.
March 14th The station was alerted and quickly recalled to Duchess Ct for wires. The incident was handled by E1722.
March 13th The station handled two motor vehicle collisions. The first at 08:16 was very minor at Isaac Budd Rd and Ridge Road. The second at 20:30 involved 3 patients at Church Rd and Eayrestown Rd. Chief 1710 (Pratt), Rescue Engine 1712 and Utility 1718 responded along with BLS1791 and BLS1792.
11 Runs for the Week bring YTD up to 89
March 11th At 15:30 units handled a fire alarm activation at 139 Red Lion Rd. Chief 1710 (Pratt) arrived to find an accidental activation and recalled the responding units. Later on that evening units were heading to RT 206 near RT 38 for the third time this week, this time for a report of a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident. Chief 1710 (Pratt) and DC 17101 (Snow) arrived to find the accident to be very minor in nature. The medics and BLS unit were recalled and the Rescue Engine went available after taking a refusal from the patient.
March 10th Rescue Engine 1712 handled a down telephone wire at RT 206 and RT 38 at 10:30hrs. Later that day Chief 1710 (Pratt), DC 17101 (Snow), and Rescue Engine 1712 responded to RT 206 and New Rd for a brush fire. Chief 1710 (Pratt) and NJFFS B3 (Moore) arrived to find a pile of leaves on fire. The crew from 1712 went in service with the bumper line to extinguish the fire.
March 8th - The station was dispatched for a report of wires down incident in Hampton Lakes at 18:00 and was quickly recalled by Chief 1720 (Young).
March 7th Just after lunch a structure response was dispatched for 1 Saint Michael Ct. sending Rescue Engine 1712, Tender 1716, Engine 1722 (Hampton Lakes), Tender 4316 and Engine 4311 (Tabernacle). AC 4301 (Smith) arrived to find that a worker accidentally set the grass on fire while soldering pipes for an air conditioner. The assignment was held with Rescue Engine 171 and Tender 4316 to check for extension into the dwelling. Units went available 20 minutes later. Later that evening we found ourselves back behind the Wawa for another abandoned, illegal campfire. Rescue Engine 1712 extinguished the fire and turned over the incident to NJFFS Warden B3 (Moore). The final run for the day came around 20:30. Due to members being in the station for training, a crew was assembled to respond to an unconscious person across from the Red Lion Inn. The crew stabilized the patient and assisted Medic 33 until BLS 1791 arrived.
March 6th Around 19:00 members were detailed to Station 191 (Pemberton Boro) for a cover assignment. Not long after arriving the Rescue Engine was assigned to the scene for overhaul operations. The crew returned to quarters by 22:30. (Click here for pictures from the incident)
Members Pickup 13 Runs Over the Week 2/27-3/6
March 5th Just before 18:00 the station was once again on its way to the South end of town. This time Chief 1710 (Pratt) and Rescue Engine 1712 (DAmico) were going to 2 Holly Blvd for the brush fire. Engine 1722 arrived to find an active brush fire and went in service. The remaining companies proceeded in to assist with overhaul. NJFFS B3 (Moore) and B16 (Horner) were also on the run.
March 4th At 12:52 the station was dispatched to 1883 RT 38 for the activated fire alarm. Chief 1710 (Pratt) and Rescue Engine 1712(Bicking) found a defective head.
March 3rd Rescue Engine 1712 was alerted to IFO 37 Dunstable Lane for the motor vehicle collision at 10:54. The incident was minor in nature and units were quickly made available. During this incident Mini 4317 handled the alarm activation at 23 Stagecoach. This turned out to be a malfunction.
MVA with Entrapment
March
2nd Members were alerted to a rescue box at 17:19 hours at State
Highway Route 70 and Purgatory Road. Chief 1710 (Pratt) arrived to report one
vehicle on its roof with two pinned. Rescue Engine 1712 arrived and began rescue
operations. Engine 1722 (Hampton Lakes) provided fire suppression. Engine 1713,
Engine 1722 (Hampton Lakes), Mini 4317 (Tabernacle), Rescue 4397 (Tabernacle)
and Utility 1718 provided rescue support. The rescue team stabilized the
vehicle, popped two doors and removed the back of both seats. Engine 4312
(Tabernacle) and Utility 1728 (Hampton Lakes) handled the LZ, however
aeromedical was down due to weather. These two crews stood by as a cover for the
duration of the incident. The EMS was handled by BLS 1782 and 1783 (Hampton
Lakes) with ALS services provided by Medic 35 and Medic 300.

March 2nd A weak winter storm moved over the Philadelphia area this morning bringing a layer of freezing rain and havoc to Burlington County. Vincent, Hampton Lakes and Medford Farms (Tabernacle) Fire Companies handled 4 collisions on RT 70 in Southampton. Units started at 07:20 near Holly Blvd and returned to quarters just before 10:00. We would like to thank Tabernacle Fire and EMS along with Medford EMS for their assistance. Not long after returning to quarters, Tender 1716 responded to Sooy Place Rd in Tabernacle for the chimney fire. The Tender was staged and quickly released. The day ended with a rescue box at RT 70 and Purgatory Rd. (see below)
March 1st Just before 19:00 Chief 1710 (Pratt) and Rescue Engine 1712 (B. Pratt) handled an illegal campfire in the rear of the Wawa at RT206 and RT 38.
