Weekend Brings 8 Incidents

January 29th – The day began around 09:00 with units going to the parking lot of the Vincentown Diner for a moving truck leaking gasoline.  Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) and Rescue Engine 1712 (D’Amico) responded and secured the vehicle.  Before returning to quarters the Rescue Engine was detailed to Hampton Lakes for an EMS assist but was quickly recalled.  The day ended with another motor vehicle accident at Pemberton Rd and Ridge Rd.  Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) Rescue Engine 1712 (D’Amico) with 6 and Engine 1713 (Bicking) with 4 responded.  The Chief arrived and found it to be very minor and had only the Rescue Engine respond in for a medical refusal and to secure the vehicle. 

January 28th – At around 04:30 the station was alerted to in front of 429 Ongs Hat Rd. for the vehicle fire.  Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) arrived to find an abandoned SUV fully involved.  Rescue Engine 1712 (D’Amico) arrived and extinguished the fire in minutes.  Just before 22:00 the companies were on their way to RT 206 and S. Pemberton for the accident with one overturned.  Chief 3400 (Polios) Eastampton responded to the address and found nothing.  The Rescue Engine (D’Amico) responded with 5 and found the incident on Pemberton Rd. just east of RT 206.  The Captain confirmed the overturned with no entrapment.  The crew immediately began treating all three patients.  Engine 1713 (D. Spencer) responded with 4 and assisted with EMS and securing the vehicle.   All three patients were boarded, collared and turned over to BLS 3491 (Eastampton) and BLS 5093 (Mt. Holly). Rescue Engine 3421 (Ewansville), Chief 1710 (S. Pratt) and DC 17101 (E. Snow) also responded on the run.  

January 27th – The day started out with two automatic fire alarm activations.  Both activations were false.  Around 18:00 units were dispatched to Ridge and Retreat for a motor vehicle accident with one vehicle overturned.  Chief 1710 (S. Pratt), Rescue Engine 1712 (D’Amico), and Engine 1713 (D. Spencer) responded and found a two vehicle accident with negative entrapment.  The Rescue Engine began treating both patients while the Engine secured the vehicles and contained fluids.  The patient requiring transport was boarded, collared and turned over to BLS 1783. 

 

Tender 1716 responds to Tabernacle

 

January 6th - Around 11:30 Friday night Tender 1716(B.Pratt) responded with companies to 45 Avenue Rd. in Tabernacle Township for a reported dwelling fire.  Command 4300 arrived to find a working chimney fire.  1716 arrived 3rd due (2nd due with a crew), and was advised to pull an 1 3/4" off E4311(Tabernacle) and standby for further orders.  1716's crew was then re-routed to interior operations to extinguish the fire.  Using the station's perfected technique for extinguishing chimney fires, 1716's crew quickly knocked down the fire and overhauled.  Lt. Pratt(17104) had Division 1 Operations.  Chief Pratt(1710) had interior command.  Units cleared within an hour.

 

 

Last Week of 2005 Busy for Members

The close of 2005 brought many late nights to the volunteers of the Vincent Fire Company.  Along with an assortment of accidents and alarm system runs, members responded on 3 working fires.  Monday night the 26th Station 171 was dispatched to Rt. 206 near Vincentown-Pemberton Rd. for a reported car fire.  Command 1710(S. Pratt) along with DC17101(Willitts) arrived finding a vehicle with the engine compartment well involved and extending into the cabin area.  1712 arrived and went in service with the bumper line extinguishing the fire.  1716 and 1718 were also on the run.  Tuesday night the 27th RE1712 responded to Pemberton Browns Mills Rd. in Pemberton Boro arriving 3rd due for a laundry room fire.  Wednesday night the 28th RE1712(Snow), T1716(D'Amico) and Chief 1710(S. Pratt) responded to the 300 block of Birmingham Rd. in Pemberton for a building fire.  Command 1900(Bozoski) arrived to find a 20X30 barn fully involved with exposure to the dwelling not far from it.  RE1911(Pemberton Boro) and E1912(Pem. Boro) arrived 1st and second due leading off with 2 - 1 3/4" handlines, one on the fire building and one on the exposure.  RE1712 arrived third due to assist with suppression and overhaul while 4th due T1716 supplied water to Pemberton's Engines.
